Protected Designation of Origin, Protected Geographical Indication

The authenticity of many distinctly Welsh food and drink products is protected under The European Union Protected Food Name (EUPFN) Scheme. This helps Wales to ensure the consumer knows they are getting the genuine article, something whose Welsh heritage and tradition is proven.
Wine is one of an increasing list of protected Welsh food names. If you buy a product labelled Welsh Quality Wine, or Welsh Regional Wine, you can look forward to consuming a product which has been produced, processed and prepared in one specific area.
For more detail, read more here or here
Our vineyards also have products labelled Product of Wales. You can be assured these wines have also been vinified from grapes grown in Wales and processed in approved wineries. If you’d like to know more when considering what to buy, just ask our producers!
