Gower Gin doesn’t so much have an air of the seaside about it as it does the countryside. To breathe into the glass is to plunge head first into a sweet, flowering rosemary bush, all sweaty in the midday sun. It’s lusciously, verdantly, endlessly green on the nose, although the burnishing citrus keeps it fresh and light, preventing it from creeping down a savoury, vegetal path.
It’s a hugely flavoursome gin, a very loud gin and one that has clearly been made with a vision to steer away from the classics.

My go-to gin. The juniper flavour is so well balanced, it makes for the perfect Gin and Tonic. Lovely over ice too. Perfect.

What a relief, and an unexpected pleasure. A good, solid tonic base you can dress up with a slice or indeed with anything you like - loved the length of juniper lingering on after sipping the tonic. Surely a fantastic base for a dry martini - you find your perfect vermouth and add that perfect twist of juniper - just what these judges have been looking for. Kind of perfect."

This drop of Welsh Gold has a Portuguese influence from the Madeira casks used to finish it, and is described by Penderyn Distillery as its original ‘house style’ whisky.
Its flavours are an interwoven mix of sweet and dry, each bidding for attention at every stage in harmonious fashion.
Soft fruits and almonds pop up in the aroma and taste, while vanilla threads its way through the whole piece, balancing both sweet and light notes with dry and oaky flavours. It’s a delicious drop of gleaming gold from the Brecon Beacons.
